Although the seeds of freedom were sown with great labor, faith, and commitment to offer hope to all oppressed peoples, the Dehaks sought to destroy them with sword and gunpowder and tear them out by the roots.
Blood, pain, and exile have therefore marked the world, especially Kurdistan, and become engraved in memory. Yet this seed of freedom will resist the Dehaks, sprout in the soil, and spread its roots everywhere.
The freedom movement developed in the person of Leader Apo will resist every form of oppression like Kawa the Blacksmith and sustain an unending epic resistance.
Serhad's Rebellious Daughter
Vesile Arviş was born in Bazîd into a patriotic family attached to its roots and influenced by the Kurdish freedom movement. On Ağrı's lands of rebellion, the Arviş family raised its children with a spirit of resistance and love of country. It carried in its heart the defiant cries of the thousands of children, women, and elderly people put to the bayonet in the Zîlan Massacre. This memory deeply shaped Vesile. Her elder sister's joining the PKK and subsequent martyrdom became a road map for her and led her to take the first step toward becoming Serhad's rebellious daughter.
The First Step in a Relentless Struggle
After working for a time in the youth movement, Vesile made a radical decision and joined the freedom movement in 2014. She entered a new life and struggle under the name Adar. In the YPJ ranks in Rojava, Adar Argeş gained intense combat experience and developed both a physical and ideological stance against the enemy. After two years of fighting ISIS gangs, she turned toward the free mountains for which she had longed.
In 2016 Adar took Leader Apo's ideological position as her compass and developed rapidly through training at the party academy. Determined to achieve results in every duty, she enthusiastically moved to Heftanîn after completing her education.
The Courageous Fighter of the Battle of Heftanîn
During the Turkish state's 2019 occupation attacks on Heftanîn, Adar assumed major responsibility and took her first step toward command as a young woman. In the Battle of Heftanîn she embraced her essence with courage, stood firm before enemy forces, and took responsibility for halting the attacks.
As a commander able to answer the needs of the period, Adar joined the Special Forces to shoulder greater responsibility. She devoted herself to becoming a comrade worthy of the Leadership. She participated in the Martyr Savaş Maraş Revolutionary Offensive launched on 25 May 2022 and contributed significantly to its success. She was wounded, but lost none of her resolve.
Every Wound Became a New Vow of Revenge
Adar carried out major actions in the offensive and transformed every wound into a new vow of struggle and revenge. On 25 November 2022 she advanced fearlessly against enemy forces on Martyr Çektar Hill and carried out a major action with her comrades. Leading them toward the enemy positions, she fulfilled her vow. She reached martyrdom in the action and became immortal as one of Kurdistan's courageous women.
